A friend of mine became a Gold member in the hope of being able to join the Qantas club with $200 discount but she can't find out how. Can anybody help as I'd like to do that but I want to know how first.

Gold Members have access to the "Gold Membership Privileges" forum which has the details (It's contained in this thread: http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...00-qantas-club-membership-10788-new-post.html - but is only accessible by Gold Members. )

Otherwise, send a Private Message to Admin for any other questions regarding the scheme.

If she dose not retain gold she will drop back to silver and get 3 months of free Qantas Club and can pay for a year or 2 membership without having to pay the joining fee.

You are mistaking Qantas Gold Status with Gold membership of this forum methinks.

As far as accessing the info about QC membership, get the person to log into the site using the account created and, as long as admin has updated the membership level to gold, then the link given above should give all the info.

Otherwise, use "quick links" drop down, select private messages and can send a message to username admin and he will be able to assist

The post sounds like it is referring to Gold AFF membership though it is not completely clear.
