I canceled a sale flight which I've changed once last year and obviously I cannot get refund and it generated a 1200aud voucher. now the voucher is about to expire but I have no schedule for traveling. Can I use it to purchase a whatever non multi-city flight expensive than the credit voucher value(1200aud) and then cancel it at the same time to get another voucher which guarantee me another year life from the new generating date?(like roll-generate)
:shock:cheers,guys

If you cancel a fare paid by a voucher, the voucher amount is refunded back to another voucher with the same conditions as the original voucher, including the validity/expiry date.

thx for reply
if the original voucher expires tomorrow, I buy a new flight today and cancel it the day after tomorrow then I get an already expired voucher(get nothing back)?

I would expect that to be the case. But what have you got to lose?

This happended to me once, correct if you want to book domestic travel, however I'm pretty sure if you were to buy a international flight the 12 months doesn't apply, you would have to check with a qantas customer service person but I'm sure this had been offered to me - not saying you could then cancel again but if you are going to lose the money, why not get a ticket to Hawaii or something

If you're worried about it expiring, you can always use it to book a flight for another AFF member to generate some good karma for yourself :)

Or else turn it into a single-day SC run and duty-free booze purchasing session to Auckland...
