I reload a lot on prepaid credit cards, for my neices to shop online.

Normally I would load around $1000, I don't carry that much cash so I generally pay with debit.

Just wondering if I could pay using a credit card - to earn those extra points?

I've heard mixed success stories of some stores permitting it and others not. Is there a way around this?

Can I be your niece? Would love a credit card to go online shopping. Qantas.com.au here I come......

There is a thread about a westfield card which might assist.. worth a look.

Even if allowed, some credit card companies would treat this type of transaction as a "cash advance" ie no Reward Points earned and interest would accrue immediately (at the highest rate)

If you purchase ANZ Travel Cards online from their website you can pay initially by credit card but I think the top ups can only be done via Bpay from a savings account or ANZ credit card but as mentioned that would attract the cash advance interest effective immediately the transaction was processed.
