I collect airline pins, but don't know these, it is possible they are not aviation based.

Thanks in advance

Neil

Welcome to AFF!

The first one might be TunisAir: http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/tu.htm

The second one does appears to be the hippocampe ailé logo, which was used with AF and originally came from Air Orient. However they were merged in 1933, not 1937, so it’s an oddity.

Alternatively, there is some resemblance to the Iran Air logo, and they were founded in 1962, so that doesn’t explain what the 25 years is about, but it’s a similar (reversed) logo.

Looks moe like a pegasus to me. Also the limited google i did has the seahorse facing in the opposite direction i.e look to the right, whereas this is looking to the left. I'd suggest a greek or turkish airline.

In some brochures it was facing the opposite way. It was mainly the fact that the spikes on top looked similar.

thanks everyone,

Yes, I agree that the leaping springbok is definately SAA, but I would never have got it since the livery changed.

I am still not convinced about the seahorse though, it does look quite like the old AF seahorse, but the dates on the pin don't make sense.
I'll bet it ends up being a refrigerator logo or something.

Thanks to you all

Neil

But then the foreleg says to me that it's a land horse. Sea horses don't really have legs as such

Ohh and the chest is another mismatch with a seahorse

Doh! I was just watching the Iran air Air Crash investigations and thought I recognise that logo. But wrong one, close but no cigar. :(
