Hi,

Got a flight coming up on QF 994 KTA-MEL.

As this flight and the ones to Syd and Bne are sold as Y only you can select the J seats, being gold have been able to select previously but it won't let me select a J seat but unusually been able to select an Exit seat row straight away.

Just wondering if I ring up QF of they will put me in Row 3 or will I be told to wait until check on?

I have to ring them to link my PNR's for my connection to AKL anyways so thought ill see if they will change my seats or not too.

Cheers

As a platinum my experience in similar situations is that the phone operator can only access the same seats that I've been able to access.

Give it a shot, you might get a different answer.

Try again, at or shortly after T-80 (That's three days and eight hours before the flight).

Wondered why so many seats can be blocked on some flights?.

They're blocked because you're gold.
Plat can see up to row 5 and P1/CL can do row 4.

So they are not actually booked just available, interesting.

and on the flights have booked in Y for March looks like plane is 70% empty.
