Hello,
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.
I'm flying back to Aus today.
Flying Delta from LAX - SYD then a domestic VA flight to MEL.
I was wondering about purchasing some duty free alcohol in ? Sydney,
How do I manage that with a domestic flight at the conclusion of my travels?
Thanks
Ange

In Australia, The liquids restrictions do not apply to domestic flights that leave from the domestic terminals. Virgin only leave from the domestic terminal .. Jetstar and Qantas do have a few flights that leave from the International Terminal.

Put the bottle(s) into your checked luggage (assuming you have some) after you clear customs & immigration.

Risk of breakage thereafter of course, but I've never had one go on me, after making sure its well padded.

Note that Sydney DF prices on alcohol aren't great.
Better to buy at CostCo in the US then put in checked luggage,

Or have a look at the airside DF store at T5. JW Red there for example is about USD22 for a litre. They'll deliver to the gate in a tamper proof sealed bag and you pick up on boarding (IIRC).
