So this is a bit complicated, hope I can explain but it may be useful to someone oneday.

Booking one way CAI (egyptair)- IST - SIN - BNE
Want to stopover in IST for 1 day.

Fare rules for Business Flexi:
Stopover FOR ZOWISTEG TYPE FARES WITH FOOTNOTE 1X NOTE - GENERAL RULE DOES NOT APPLY 1 STOPOVER PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION IN IST. AND - 1 STOPOVER PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION IN SIN. AND - 1 STOPOVER PERMITTED IN EACH DIRECTION IN S.W. PACIFIC.
Now I read that as I am permitted stopovers. Please tell me if I am wrong?!

Singapore website and call centre cannot book a stopover. Apparently there is a rule that if one of your flights is on a partner airline, it is a ticket "package" and stopovers are not allowed. I've got a call in with a TA now to see if they're able to book it and what the price is going to come in at. Multi city via google flights doubles the cost, unfortunately. Booking a cheap leg to IST is not an option as IST - BNE doubles the cost.

So if you're like me and madly doing multi city searches all over the web to try to book your stopover, this might be the reason why. Will update when the TA comes back. Any other advice or ideas very welcome.
