Hopefully a sign of a few more Precovid deals coming this year.

787 all sectors but the layovers aren‘t great.

Price is closer to $4,625 booking direct with the airline.

Decent price and IMO by far the best of the Chinese carriers and was quite impressed by their J product out of SYD

What‘s the transit like?

In the example, the almost 18 hr layover on the way over would work fine for an o/n in a hotel(?). In fact, the timings are fairly civilised otherwise. The 8 hr return transit (2pm to 10:30pm) would be a bit of a drag….?

Can’t help you there. We flew return to Changsha and stopover at XMN was only a couple hours on the way over and about 4hrs on the return

Yes, you could find yourself contained to the airport on the way back. Outbound with a hotel booked, should be no problems to get TWOV (transit without visa). There are reports that shorter transits may not get you the same rights.
