Hey guys,

I was wondering if I am able to bring in a guest into the international lounge in sydney? Is that possible? I did read somewhere they must be travelling with you. Are they really strict on that rule or they allow you to bring a friend who may be travelling on a seperate airline on the same day?

Guest is required to be on same flight for QF, JQ and EK flights by the rules. Others may be able to advise how rigid enforcement is,

Need more information such as

your flight
your cabin - business or economy
your guest flight
your airline status

The only time a guest is allowed who is travelling on a different flight but on the same day is if you have One World Sapphire status and above and you and your guest onward journey is on a One World airline on the same day

What do you mean by "really strict" compared with just "strict"?

I will say they are really really really strict - they don't want to look after someone else's passenger.

Thanks for that. Sounds like its probably not going to happen.
I'm flying business class with Qantas, he's flying economy with Etihad.

My experience in SYD is they don't have an issue with different QF flights, as long as you're both on QF. I've been on QF73 before and guested someone on QF129 and I've also been on QF81 and guested someone on QF7.
