Works out to $2,830 AUD for those playing at home. This is a “lite” fare, so without OWE status you can expect to pay a bit more for some necessities. The Fare rules state that it’s open until end of calendar but I expect prices will vary according to the season and holidays. I believe the aircraft offers the new business class experience.

Not as good as the recent SQ Business class sale fares which were priced about 30% cheaper but another option for those with a Qantas or OW penchant.
 
I may well take this one up as it earns better SCs than QR ex BKK/SIN/CGK (I think) but obviously not in QSuites.

However, the best I can see searching on ITA Matrix is ~A$3,370 (FCO return) - which is still pretty good if you can readily position yourself in BKK.

BUT, at that fare level, it looks like pretty much any of the usual Euro ports can be done as a return or open jaw for sub A$3.5k (including LHR) - again, still pretty good. I haven’t confirmed that on the AY website and there’s a chance may need FCO on one sector.

Nah, LL always f*cks that up. Besides, that’s points (probably from “Where to Credit” and the fine print says check with QF). But SCs do work out more on the QF calculator.
 
This fare is still lurking around but has just gone up in price to $2,306 USD.

I can’t replicate that fare - even the example dates but still hovering around the US$2,500 in May (which is pretty good). Unfortunately the prices start to creep up in June/July (when I want to travel) before tapering off again.

Into LHR out of Europe (eg CDG and others) keeps the price down.

I checked on the QF calculator. It should be 120 SC each way BKK-HEL and 60 each way HEL-FCO. I'm doing a similar trip on AY in a few weeks. I'm counting on this trip and a bit of other flying to lift me back into the land of lounge access.

On that note, lounges and priority boarding aren't the real attraction here. Being able to stretch out and sleep on the long flight to Europe is the big bonus.

Yes, if it books into an eligible business class code you’ll get 120 SCs from Asia to HEL. HEL to UK/Europe is usually 60 SCs but a few longer routes eg MAD will be 80. Plus some shorter routes will be less than 60 SCs.

Oz to Asia on an AY codeshare is 60 SCs (instead of 120+ flying QF codes).
