Hi All,

I'm looking at booking 3 business class award seats for my family from SYD - PER in July. There are seats currently available but I'm unsure yet of the exact dates we'd like to travel. Question is, if I book the seats now and need to change the travel dates later on, what are the implications/costs involved with this?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

And of course you can only change if there is award availability on the new flights.

Slightly different, I just cancelled a 2 sector QF flexi booking with point upgrade to J. Will I get points back? From memory, 7.5k per sector was the upgrade.

Yes you should get them back with no penalty afaik.

16.1.9 suggests there is a penalty if cancelled (>24 hrs if it has already been confirmed.). No penalty if it is on the waitlist and not yet confirmed.

Hmm yes, you're right. I'm sure I have cancelled upgrades in the past with no penalty, but I must have misremembered.

Seems to be 5000 pts :(

5000 points is correct. I just changed a return BNE-SYD return x 2 people and lost 20000 points. No upgrades available on the new flights yet either

Oh well, it's a wait and see proposition then.
