Sounds awfully sporting of them (particularly as I'll be flying BA in July-August) - has anyone out there actually had their >23kg bags accepted by BA since 13 Feb in line with this "deferral" of the 23kg maximum?

I had no problem with my checked luggage (27kg and 18kg) on my recent DONE4. If fact at AA checkin with (supposedly checked through luggage JFK-BGI-LGW) two flights (AA and BA) the check in staff said "Oh you are on BA after this so you get 70lbs"

Thankfully I will only be on BA before 30 Sep this year.
