I hope this doesn't change the 1:1 points per miles for BA flights from Aus to London through Singapore....I'm booked on one in September
If you look at the retimed flights, I see the problem with the Asian codeshares being the lengthy layovers enroute from Australia to LHR (with the exception of QF5). Some of these will be as long as 7 hrs (eg MEL-SIN on QF then SIN-LHR on BA).

So as I said it wouldn't matter what they did someone somewhere will find fault.
I think the amount of status credits that you earn and the number of points you earn from flying BA is a benefit provided by Qantas and therefore they will have to give 3 months notice under the new clause or 6 months under the old clause. Qantas may argue it is a benefit being provided by BA and therefore only have to give 30 days notice.

I imagine that what we are getting in the AFR, is BA's spin on things.
If I were EK, I would have demanded from QF, as part of the deal, that -
...and this be implemented as soon as the deal goes live.
- they cease & do NOT code-share on any IAG metal on any flight between Europe and Asia
- they cease & do NOT code-share on any IAG metal to any destination in the EU to which EK flies
- they implement a carrot/stick strategy to get QFFers onboard with the latest viaDXB version of QF's kangaroo route, and out of a mindset of connecting through SIN, BKK & HKG. (Not to mention KUL.)
Both airlines agreed yesterday they were renegotiating agreements on routes to and from Europe but Qantas said the changes were flagged when it announced its alliance with Emirates last September.
Just like the negotiations between BA and QF regarding the access for QC and QFFers into the LHR T3 Galleries Lounge?
