Brisbane F lounge

There aren't, with QF. But the signage and announcements at the gate still include mentions of First for PB, etc. found that amusing in May when I flew QF15.

And with the EK alliance there are now F seats with QF codes, just got off one, sadly in Y.

It'd be lovely, though a bit of a walk, to access the EK F lounge there, before a QF flight. I'm sure I've said that before :p

EK don't have a F lounge outside of Dubai, and given its up the opposite end of the terminal to the QF departures, its a long walk, heck it was a long walk tonight just getting to customs!

I thought one level was F, the other J?

I could go research but I'm tired so maybe another time, but I'm sure I read it was both J/F in different sections. Oh well.

I will be departing BNE international later this week. While no longer holding Emerald status, I am banished to the Business Class lounge. The one advantage with departing from BNE is that I don't feel at all disappointed in "only" using the J lounge and not the F lounge - might have been a different feeling if departing SYD or MEL though.

It was painful in SYD last month sitting in the J Lounge knowing what it's like upstairs... :(

The Brisbane First lounge is OK.

My only concern is there is only 1 desktop for use. The Business lounge has 3-4 so better chance of being able to use one.

A barista in the J lounge as well.

Breakfast looks very familiar, are they stealing from the QF Dom J lounge?

I'll be able to use this lounge for the first time on the weekend. Has anybody been in recently? Has anything changed wrt food offerings given the recent announcements? And, most importantly, is the Taittinger available for breakfast?

Taittinger was in the fridge when I flew QF8 to SYD in May, from opening at 5am.

Pic of the artwork on the wall in BNE "Flounge", from January

(with middle offspring awaiting his first flight since he was a baby, on QF8 to SYD. Can you see the really excited expression on his face?)

The J lounge has a view, and if it's not too crowded I prefer it to the F lounge

I'm in here now. Mrs_O and I plus one other. Apart from the Taittinger, it is really similar to the JLounge, not that I expected anything else. Was just nice to be directed through 'the glass door today sir' for the first time :). I might have to nip next door to knock a ham and cheese croissant though!
