By the look of things we'd have enough golds to do this on our own, but I will be contacting the lounge manager again tomorrow to see if we can organise to have some DJ representatives present so that we can talk to them and give them some constructive feedback.Watch this space.

That's the whole point of organising this with VA, rather than just crashing the lounge. Although on current count we have more Golds than not so we'd be fine anyway.

I've been in touch with the lounge manager, things are looking positive. Will post back when I know more.

I should note I will no longer be attending and there’ll be a guest spot less on the night, due to departing for Queenstown on the 21st. And it’s snowed a lot today, so I’m happy

I have heard back, and it appears that we are on, but I just need to clarify the exact arrangements. It's a public holiday in Brisbane today, hoping to have final confirmation tomorrow.

By the way, for those that were worried about the cost of getting there, it's only $15 and 30 minutes on the air train from Roma St to the airport. My wife will be picking me up afterwards, so we could probably drop a couple of people off in the city if needed on the way home to avoid the Air Train charges on the way back.

I know I normally spend a lot more than $15 on a drinks night ...

No problem, my current plan is for a 6pm start, but that's one of the things I'm waiting on a final confirmation for.

OK we are on for next Wednesdy in the BNE virgin lounge.

Plan is for us to meet as a group outside the Lounge and enter at 6pm. Ive been assured that access has been arranged for the non gold plebs, so if you are late please let the lounge desk agents know that you are there for the AFF drinks night.
