Thanks everyone. I've made a booking at Wu Kong for Tuesday, 20 January at 6.30pm. They've informed me that it's possible to split the payment at the end (i.e. each person pays for what they ordered from the single bill). The booking is in my name (Matt Graham).

Big thank-you to @Port Power who advised that the Sebel is subject to (unadvised) night time construction noise (CrossRiver Albert St station). No wonder it was so cheap!! Refunds being given for pre-paid bookings.

I'm now at Sofitel Central, but not in a suite.

I’m moving to the Sofitel tomorrow, too. A bit of a nuisance, but I can still enjoy a full day out and about once I drop off my overnight case. The restaurant at the Sebel is closed for dinner while construction is ongoing, something also not advised.

I had a look at the Wu Kong menu tonight as it is next door to the Sebel. Oh well, it will be an enjoyable walk on Tuesday evening.
