Is it the same gate as the AirNZ air bridge incident?A Qantas flight from New Zealand that had just touched down in Brisbane had its windscreen shattered after it was hit by an airbridge on Wednesday evening.
QF186 from Queenstown landed at Brisbane shortly after 6.30pm (local time) and a Facebook post by Brisbane Incident Alerts reported that “while positioning at the gate, the aerobridge made contact with the aircraft, resulting in the front windscreens being shattered.”
is there anything you can do?
Looks like this could have been a zipper merge, where the vehicle in front has right of way...... so maybe the bridge driver had right of way?Same air bridge driver?

I'm guessing it wasn't where it is in the photos or else the captain wouldn't be able to see the distance positioning information display because his view of that would be blocked by the air bridge.I wonder where the bridge was, when the aircraft came in?
Say a very loud WTF and then put your hands over your eyes to shield them from flying glass. For our pilots: if you see that this is going to occur, is there anything you can do? Or is it a situation where you brace and hope you're not injured?
