I wasn't aware Brindabella had taken over SYD-MRZ - I probably did hear but forgot - in any case we've got to go there for a wedding later in the year and the best fares I can find end up costing $600 for two. A bargain you might say but I'd rather not spend that much. On their website they say you can earn and redeem points on some flights.

It looks like you can only use them by calling them - can't see any option on the booking website. Any idea of the points needed? Plus the "plus plus plus"?

Due to the high cost of regional flights, they are often the best value Y redemptions.

It will be 8,000 points per person plus about $25 per person each way (ie "real" taxes - not too many surcharges)

I completely agree with that. Best value Y redemption. Only 8000 points each way!

Thanks for the replies. So it may be a good use for points. It's about a 6.5 hour drive or all day on the train. One part of me relishes a long train trip but the other realises I would have to spend it in the company of people who can't afford to fly...

Plus 3500 pts or $35 per booking because QF website issues (ie Moree not appearing on drop down list, despite other Brindabella/Aeropelican destinations, such as Narrabri and Cobar being bookable online)! Something for RedRoo to pass to the web team? It seems more of an oversight than deliberate exclusion.

This is not a system error. As with some of our other partner airlines, not all Brindabella and Aeropelican flights are eligible for online bookings.
