Were all these legitimate stops, or more of a SC run.

I'd be interested to hear what Belize was like?

And how was RJ from YUL-AMM?

Just the outline sounds like a great trip.

redroo: The trip was fantastic and was 4 weeks long (a little short but it was all the time my partner had for annual leave).
I'm still waiting for the a few more flights (RJ) but the total SC is around 1340, which is not too bad :D

docjames: All the stops were legit - DFW and HKG were transit stops, but stayed everywhere else. I may have picked Broome to use up the last two spare sectors, but I was there for 24 hours ;)

Was impressed with RJ - although would have to say YUL airport was the worst I experienced (even worse than Perth Int!). There are two RJ check-in counters (one for each class) manned by Air Canada - whose systems don't quite link with RJs..... hmmmm. The security took about 40 minutes to go through (nearly as bad as the 1+ hour it took to get from the plane to a taxi on arriving in YUL from JFK!). Once through security the aiport was much better and the ServiceAir lounge (for OW business and first) was actually quite good, although a little crowded.

The flight was complete full in both classes with from what I saw at both check-in and the gate large waiting lists. (From memory there are only a few a week).
The RJ flight was on one of their A340s (Seats 1A & 1B) The flight was on time, the cabins clean and spacious. Service was very good and being served your meal, with a wide selections of choices and sides from a trolley was a nice change. The wines were ok, Moet and a mix of Jordanian wines (which were quite good) and South American wines.

The only negative was the cabin was fairly warm and the lie-flat seats leather so there was no need for blankets - and the entertainment system is not interactive and you have the choice of one movie channel........ ! But as it was an overnight flight wasn't too much of a problem but I suspect if you were in Y class if may have been annoying.

Next time I am on I'll detail Belize

Cheers

Thanks esquire - RJ seem ok but not class-leading by that description! Fits with other reviews i've heard, and certainly sounds like YUL is best avoided where possible.

Look forward to hearing about Belize. Cheers.
