Brett Godfrey to retire from Virgin Blue

Me thinks Brett has made the right decision. After ten years at the helm, and holding DJ together during good and very bad times, he has proved an adept hand at running an airline. His decision to retire at the end of 2010 opens the door for the entry of new ideas and improvements for DJ by another clear thinking individual not necessarily in the industry.
My wish list would have James Strong at the top of the list, and maybe Geoff Dixon as second choice.

Cheers Dee.

as long as its not some 14 year old "wonderkid" from the UK, who ran a far flung division of the Virgin Group and now wants to play with an airline.

My business respect for Mr Branson is falling faster than the prospects of DJ in Australia. Tick tock the clock is ticking and its 3 minutes to midnight.

Cryptic: Yes

With the right chief executive DJ's prospects are far from falling, except in the minds of those who wish it to be.

Sorry to upset you with my second choice Bill.

So who, pray tell, would you select ?

Cheers Dee

Given the commercial director recently resigned because he was over looked I'd presume they have someone in mind... perhaops the GM of V Australia? He has been with DJ from the start...

Perhaps they will look outside the group and bring in fresh blood? Certainly will be interesting times ahead.

How's this for a left fielder?
John Borghetti .He certainly has the industry knowledge and background and maybe is the right person to kick some lazy butts at DJ HQ.
Having said that DJ may not have enough money to pay him the sort of salary he would probably demand .

I don't know but if I come up with a name I will post it. After some of the debacles toward the end with QF I honestly I have to question the integrity of Jeff Dixon.
