Hi,
I have this question that seems all too hard fo Qantas to answer.
QFF have had receipt of it for a week now ( I have their ticket issue number as acknowledgement) but no response - just a promise to attend to it as soon as possible.
So after a couple of days I emailed the Qantas shop as the FAQs etc gave this as the only place to inquire about "other purchases". Still no response or acknowledgement even from them.
So yesterday I emailed Qantas Executive - not an email I would normally use to make such an inquiry...but I would like an answer before my voucher expires to be honest. Still - no response there either so far.

So here's hoping - not really that difficult a question for Qantas I would have thought, maybe a learned forum member might be able to assist. Here is my emailed question:

Dear Qantas,
Could you please tell me under the terms of redemption of a paid for voucher - does the term "redemption" mean "Booked flight" or" flight flown"?
None of the FAQs are clear on the definition of redemption.
IE - if I book a flight before the voucher expires, but the flight is actually after the expiry date - is that permissible?
Or must both the booking and the flight take place before the voucher expiry date?
Also - Can I book a return domestic or International flight for both myself and my wife and use the voucher as part payment for the combined flight total?
Appreciate your clarification
.

Well there it is - a week later and still silence from Qantas.
If anyone can help with an informed answer I'd be very grateful.

It is vague terms and conditions that Qantas post online. They do talk of redemption via a booking. A booking is valid on its own merits/timeframe.

Qantas never replaced a voucher I had surplus value on so I may give this a miss.
