Hi everyone, long time reader of this forum first time poster.Anyway I started working in Karratha in may and fly back to Brisbane via Perth return every 30days.I have my qantas bookings well in advance and would like to book my seats ASAP. When I go to book though only the same seats are avalible to book. Do they hold on to emergency exit seats and release them closer to the time if so when do they do that? I can only book row 40 backwards but last time I flew I was able to get a exit seat 2 weeks out. Any help from other members would be appreciatedThanks

The amount of seats you see comes down to what status you are with Qantas: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Chairmans Lounge. As you more up the ranks, more seats are available for you to pick ahead of time. However, no matter what you’ve picked, at T-80 hours to departure, a lot more seats become available to choose from anyway, so always set a reminder for T-80.
