Booking PER-LAX-PER on QF

Still thinking of flying VA to LAX, but was just looking at the QF website. If want to book PER-LAX-PER, it won't let me choose QF11 and QF12. If I choose QF11, the only option it gives me to come back is QF94 which gets into Melbourne at 0845 and we have to wait there til around 1500. Why won't it let me book the sale fare both ways on the A380?
