Hi

I'm new to this great site and was wondering if someone can give me some advice.

I have booked 2 adult award tickets to USA (one way) and will book return when they are released (I know it is a risk - but one I have done before).

My question is what would be the cheapest way to book 2 child tickets for the same flights? I can't book on-line without adult - is there a way around this? Would I be better to book direct on phone with Qantas or wait until flights are released with travel agents and try their pricing? I didn't know they don't get tickets for sale until around 9 months in advance.

Our award tickets are for early December next year.

Thanks.

I did this some 11 years ago. 37½K Business round Oz trips for myself and SWMBO and accompanying paid child business fare for 6 yo mini serfty.

This was all done over the telephone with the one call.

Note however, this was in the days of Paper Tickets and no telephone booking fees.

I don't think you can avoid the telephone booking fee, but if you call Qantas Holidays when the early-bird fares are released you may find that what you spend on fees you get back on credits (car hire, accommodation, etc.).
