Have for the past three weeks been trying to finalise the last return SQ rewards flight from Shanghai for new years getting an error message when processing the payment.
No problems with the SQ/MI flights for four of us visiting Cambodia after Vietnam. The last of our group is going onto Shanghai to visit friends and is causing the problem for the return leg bookings.
Citi, Westpac and NAB cards all unable to process the payment with NAB even showing the transaction online holding the payment for 6 days before being released with SQ unable to finalise the authorisation process. SQ rewards staff also unable to process the booking manually.
SQ have at least confirmed a suite for both legs home so the annoyance has been lessened somewhat.

Had a similar issue once when booking a cash fare. But the call centre were able to process the payment when I rang up. Strange that they haven't been able to manually finalize the payment.
