Booking Emirates PE flights on qantas.com

Emirates recently announced PE cabin for their flights between DXB and SYD which would be a nice alternative to the limited options going to and from Europe on PE.
I played around a bit with the Qantas booking platform, but apparently, it is not possible to book any type of mixed class fares on EK metal.
My most facilitated route would be MEL-VIE and it is possible to book it on QF metal with the Y leg LHR-VIE, however, nothing is showing up on EK metal.
Also when i change my search to SYD-VIE, no EK flights are shown (although shown on EK website with EK flight number).

It is only possible to book SYD-DXB under QF flight number on the Qantas homepage, I haven't found any other possibility.
With EK announcing only flights from and to SYD, LHR and CDG with PE, it really limits the booking options if there is no mixed class booking possible on the website.

Has anyone experience if the call center can book this flights?
Although it may be a funny exercise asking the overseas agents to book in these flights

Tried that, doesn't come up.
Especially as you can't really select booking classes on the multi stop search

Could you not book it with Emirates direct?

I guess the dates you are searching for may not have any QF PE inventory available.

I picked a random date and found W, R, T inventory available (on departures with a PE cabin)..


and fares published..



..and seats for sale on the QF site.



We can comment more if you can share the date/route you are looking at. If there is indeed QF inventory but it's not showing on qantas.com you may be best off talking to a TA.

I tried a test booking today outbound 8/10 inbound 17/10.
SYD-DXB-SYD PE flights available and possible to book on Qantas.com
SYD-VIE-SYD the Emirates PE flight doesn’t show up anymore (no combination possible)
This surprises me, as all flights connecting in LHR are on Y to VIE with BA.

Anyway, maybe Qantas needs some time to adjust their booking engine to reflect these possibilities or as already stated , I need to book via a travel agent or the QF hotline

But if you are keen on these specific flights, can you not just book a straight up EK ticket?
