Dear everyone! I booked a flight with Singapore Airline through Zuji.com.au 9 days ago. My booking was confirmed and my money charged from my bank. But it's been nine days, and they haven't sent me the e-ticket. My status with Singapore Airlines is "not ticketed". I called Zuji a few times and asked, but they just ask me to wait indefinitely (they told me not to worry as the flight is two months away from now). Is there something wrong with Zuji or my flight?

Please help advise. Thanks!

Can you see your booking on "check my trip"?

You mean 'check my trip' on zuji.com.au? Yes. But today, I checked my booking status on singapore airline, but my booking reference no longer worked :(

I've been calling zuji every day, but been told i have to wait, wait and wait...

He/She means this website, https://www.checkmytrip.com

If the ticket hasn't been issued yet then I'd chase them up, especially if it doesn't come up at that website above or SQ's own system, double check you're using the right reference code as well as Zuji and SQ have different codes for their respective systems.

You've booked a ticket, you're money has been deducted, an e-ticket should be issued to you regardless of how far away the trip is. Telling you to wait and having 9 days elapse is a is a complete joke.

Thanks! I've been calling them three days in a row and been told to wait :( Is there any legal option to take against them?

Contact your credit card and raise a dispute. It will take a while though.

I'd wait a bit longer , I'd doubt the ticketing deadline is very long if it's discount economy so it will probably be ticketed pretty soon. Pretty poor form on Zuji's part though!

It's quite alarming since my booking status with the airline is already cancelled! What's going on?

well in that case you better ring Zuji again and escalate it to a supervisor if you don't get a satisfactory response.

Wonder if any of this has anything to do with zujis new owners...

Both SQ and NZ use Amadeus from what i can determine. I booked an Air NZ long haul fare 6 weeks ago - same problem, no e-ticket. Called up a number of times and they just said to wait. Came through yesterday, 6 weeks later. So it may be an Amadeus problem at the moment?

Just because one airline uses Amadeus doesn't mean ZUJI uses amadeus to book on that airline, the travel agent could use amadeus, galileo or sabre to make the booking. It's nothing to do with a problem with the GDS it's purely the agent not ticketing withing the ticketing time limit in this instance so the sectors have auto-cancelled.

From memory NZ use an in house system.
CMT may not work for bookings such as this unless Zuji have specifically given you the SQ booking reference. Zuji may indeed use a reservation different to SQ.
I would be chasing Zuji up

Pretty sure zuji bookings are made using sabre.

Depending on routing they use either Sabre or Amadeus, if the booking on the airline manage your booking site has changed to cancelled or has gone I would definitely call Zuji to find out what is happening.

That was going to be my advice. Ask the person on the other end of the phone - politely but firmly- to escalate your query to his supervisor and then ask again to go further up the line. I'd be getting toey too, regardless of how far away your trip is. And I'd keep tracking your booking as time passes - the old belts and braces routine never hurts!

I booked several flights for myself and +1 directly through CX website and it took around 7 days for the e-ticket to come through. The booking showed up in both our QF accounts straight away and a few days later, after being a bit concerned, I did "Check My Trip" and it was there also.

It seems that there are some bookings that go a bit AWOL and then come through.

However, third party booking engines are a different story. I'd be on the phone in no time, especially since the $$ have been debited to your CC.

The moral to this is ALWAYS book through the airline when you are doing things yourself. Any third party stuff just opens you up to trouble.

Well this isnt always possible often for tickets involving multiple carriers.... or in the case of expedia.com.br it may beuch cheaper to use an ota.

And this is true. I have always had a good experience with Expedia. My modus operandi is to book tickets on Expedia with Alliance (*A, OW, ST) airlines.

Yet I put around $500k per year through Expedia and always use the .com website. If I don't get what I looking for I pick up the phone and get a Manager in NY first time.

Never had a problem. Just be wise with what you are doing or use a TA.

And never ever use .br, you are just asking for trouble :-D
