Booking AA domestic with QF points

How do I research and book AA domestic flights with QF points? For example JFK->DFW. When I search for this on the QF website, I just get a # 66002 error.

I've been having that same problem as I'm also trying to book a partner award on AA using QF points and have done this before online without issue. This has been happening for several days, maybe even longer.

You could either call QF or if the wait times are too long go on to the QF website and if you hover there long enough you'll get a pop up asking if you would like to online chat with an operator.

I would ask them to book it for you and waive the phone assistance fee as you're unable to book it online. The CSA may ask for your pin and sign in as you so they can see for themselves what happens on the website.

I'm pretty sure economy awards on AA book into the 'N' class fare bucket if you're checking availability with AA or Expert Flyer.

can confirm ozbeachbabe's assessment... the QF site dun seem to be able to 'see' AA awards. Even when I rang up the agent didn't initially see what was available on other sources. Managed to get everything booked in the end after prompting with specific city pairs.

A work around for researching availability on sectors that "computer says no" is to try a multi-sector award search starting from Oz. I'm currently looking for USA to Sth America. Not possible at the moment as a single award redemption but if I put in a dummy ex-Oz sector it will let you then put in the other sectors. To see availability, make sure that you pick a sector/date ex-Oz that has award availability (easily done using a one way search).

You can then call QF and have them waive call up fee!
