Ever since AA changed the booking class for their domestic narrowbody First class to business U buckets, they no longer have any inventory on QFF or BA Exec. There seems to be plenty of U availability on the AA site but QF can't access it. I thought it might have just been a problem on the QFF booking engine, but the call centre chap wasn't able to reach it either.

Is this a case of HUACA, or is it a waiting game?

Anyone had any luck booking AA narrow-body First class as a Business award?

Have you been looking for business class or first class? And remember the date in January when everything officially changes.

Plus on many US routes not even AA members can find the basic level business class award seats...

Happy (potential) wandering

It isn't a narrowbody thing. The three class A321s retain First class codes for the First cabin.

Hi All,

All of the First inventory has been downgraded to U, formerly R. The same availability is searchable available on AA, and they're the same seats Qantas had when they were coded R. Only the 2-class domestic First seats are affected by the change. 3-class domestic is unaffected.

I'll jump on the HUACA merry go round tomorrow and see how it goes.
