Hi everyone

I tried to answer my question using both, the QF website and the EK website, but I did not find an answer and call center waiting times are stellar again.

Question is: If I have enough QFF points to redeem a return ticket on Emirates metal to Europe for myself but not enough to also get one for my child (3 years old), can I first book my redemption ticket on Emirates using QFF points and then call Qantas (or Emirates?) to add my child to the trip paying with cash?

Thanks for any advice on this one.

Sure can, you’re probably better off doing the whole thing for both in one call

I assume no issues with the child being treated as an unaccompanied minor if the child is on a separate booking?

As you say, probably best to do both over the phone at the same time.
