Hi guys,

Going to Europe for 24 days and staying in hotels for the whole stay. Cities include Paris, Rome, Istanbul and Dubai.

I have got fair few points on Krisflyer and not much elsewhere. Would much prefer a hotel rewards program which will give good rewards and the possiblity of transferring to krisflyer.

I believe SPG is one of those as well as HHonors (but poor transfer rate?)

Any advice would be welcome

cheers

Choose your ideal hotels first, then look at a chain. HH for example has no good central Paris hotels. London/UK is almost and SPG desert.

They may give you KF miles, but if you pay over the going rate just to stay with a chain, then is it really worthwhile?

I'd suggest having a look at what options there are with your chosen chains, then jump on expedia and see what hotels you might actually choose without the handcuffs. In Paris I did the IC Le Grande (or something similar), and Sheraton in Nice, but am an HH Diamond.

You didn't mention when you will be travelling, but I note this post from dajop states there is currently a HH to Krisflyer 3x point promo running.

Hard to find out and keep track of the Hilton promos, I usually try using frequentflyerbonuses.com. FWIW there's also a 3x Krisflyer miles promo on at the moment.
