Booked for my parents, same benefits?

I have booked a room for my Parents at Hilton in CDG airport.

Im a Diamond member. The last time I stayed there I had access to the exec lounge and free breakfast for the three of us.

This time they will be by themselves but the room is booked under my name. Will they still benefit of all the advantages? The credit card for payment is under my name also.

Will they even be allowed to use the room if you're not there and everything is in your name?

They'll be asked for a credit card at check in - even if you've paid in advance, as they'll still need to provide a credit card for extras during their stay. If they give a credit card with a different name to that used for the booking, there could be a problem, especially if they're trying to avail of benefits associated with your individual status. Some hotels also ask for a passport or other photo id at check in.

I'd be contacting the hotel directly. I don't see how they would be able to check-in to a booking under your name. Lots of people share surnames...

As for the actual question: I doubt very much they will receive any of your benefits.

Can't say for parents, but I've asked for my +1. All they ask you do is to contact the hotel and nominate other people sharing the room and that way they can release the key cards to that (those) person (s).

Often my wife and kids have stayed when work has prevented me from joining them, but all priveleges, points, stays, nights have been earned regardless.

Perhaps to be sure, you might like to list one of your parents and you as the occupants and who are they to know if you look older than you should .
