Probably a dumb question - and may not even be the best place to post this but, if that's the case, please do point me in the right direction?

To maximise QF earning, is it possible to book the AA KUPP fares, with a QF code share number? If so, what is the best way to do this.
For background, I have Oz-LAX return flights booked, and now that other arrangements are in place, I need to book the US intervening flights.

Not the optimal way of booking I know, but an accident of timing.

Appreciate any advice.

Hard to do as these K/YUPP or "Instant Upgrade" fares at the deeply discounted price levels are for generally for AA flight numbers only.

Also, even if you could, often the QF codeshares on the AA flight numbers book into D or I class (Business), not First. You get the same seat, same service but Business SC and point earning.

Thanks, Serfty.
Was hoping to get some credits towards maintaining P1, which will be a tight race this year. Guess it's a tradeoff then, between D/I class, or the First class codes on AA numbers, still crediting to QF. Then again, there is the current AA Double Points offer ..... Decisions, decisions.
Difficult call to make.
But thanks again for confirming what I suspected was the case.
