Bonus Velocity Status Credits for VA flights - Book & fly between 12 January and 31 March 2026

So looks like the new Velocity Frequent Flyer status rules have backfired, and they even need to backtrack everyone's summer travel for extra status credits.
Therefore, book 6 one way flights and you will earn 125 bonus status credits.
It seems to me that Virgin's domestic focus, not their membership structure/rules is their weakest link. Perhaps Bain Capital should be selling Virgin Australia quickly and replaced with Tamasek or CIC as the major shareholder to give VA a good boost.

It's not 100% clear (at least from my read of the T&Cs) that bookings before 12 Jan are excluded but I assume they are.

Regardless it's not appealing enough to change my travel plans. Unless they offer triple credits I'm seeing more value in QFF.

Based on my reading of the T's and C's, bookings before 12 Jan are excluded (actions have to be conducted in the promotion period is my understanding)

Same happened for me with both. After I got the oops on the website I logged in and saw that I had 4 offers so clicked to them and found it - activated it. Then closed and reopened my Velocity app and it was there as activated.

I just found the same thing. I didn't use the article link, I logged straight into the website, but it wasn't appearing as one of the 6 offers coming up at the bottom of the page. I just refreshed it and there was a separate "you have four offers available" window further up the page, near the booking details for my flight to BNE on Wednesday. Opened that and this offer was the last one listed, and I've now activated it.

I think I must have been... because it is no longer there at all but I have 'activated' what is now this offer when I follow the instructions of the other posters to view my full set of offers.

Hopefully a good data point for others!

Learning the spin from Qantas - a way to spin a company IT stuff-up as a Brand new retrospective offer! Or maybe someone did take up the original Business Flyer offer, and was then denied the SC, so might have taken it to the ACCC? Either that, or someone is just a few % short of a KPI benchmark in Velocity before they hop off the Bain gravy train. If their KPI's are to alienate their previously loyal flyers then I reckon that they hit that KPI out of the park.

Let me just jump in my Tardis and go back in time and book some flights on VA in mid to late January!

What a shambles they have been the last year.

The panic is setting in at how large the Exodus will be.

Flew SYD-ADL-SYD this week using points as could see no reason to hand over money to these dopes.

Still no sign of this offer on my Velocity page, or in emails. A Monty Python 'Loyalty' scheme.

Little wonder they have dumped Rohlach, and hopefully new blood will frantically try and reconvert many of the 100,000s who have jumped ship.

first auto bumping up masses of folks who got 'close' to requalifying, then this. Panic is already setting in.

Just activated my wife for a complimentary Platinum card, as I flew so much last year. So another year of Bennies even if we add zero dollars to revenue.

So Rochlach's childish boast that the mad changes were 'to thin the herds at lounges' got Virgin nowhere. In our case all the benefits for another year, Row 3 seating, lounges, Fly Ahead etc, but using miles or booking Lite fares.

Neither of which adds the $10,000s in MONEY we'd have cheerfully PAID to their coffers, had they not gutted their perfectly fine FF System. .

So if you have earned enough already to.mainatin status at Platinum after March 2026 when reset comes with effect 01 April..what advantage does this offer those who really fly VA? Don't see any sweetener in this....
