No email for me so assuming it is targetted.

Didn't get an email but logged in to see and the 40% offer was there but still over 2CPM is not great for United. Looking for 1.9CPM or less.

You're right. Checked account and could buy 30,000 miles for ~AUD1150 which is more than I expected looking at earlier calculations in this thread.

My valuation of business class to Asia is ~AUD750 + taxes.

Checked mine and got the 75%. Not quite as good as the current Lifemiles promo though I do like United's award search and booking system. I would have been all over this when the AUD was 85 cents plus with the USD as their awards to asia are good value. 80k + $120 to go MEL-BKK-CTS-MEL with a stopover in Bangkok and destination in Japan in business class, really good value. In today's dollars that is about AUD$2500, so great value, but still more than I am willing to pay unfortunately.

Different deal for me:

Buy 5,000 - 9,000 miles | Get 20% bonus
Buy 10,000 - 19,000 miles | Get 40% bonus
Buy 20,000 - 85,000 miles | Get 75% bonus

Hey,
I just received a 100% bonus offer from United.

We are in Penang and flew First Class from SYD for 80K miles return. Mostly on points earned flying Star Alliance and topping up at 80%.

I think it is a good deal.

It certainly is a good deal. I got an 80% offer and my daughter received a 50% offer. We won't buy miles from UA at anything over USD 0.02 per mile. But these offers come along all the time.

I got a 100% offer for the first time too...

Buy the miles you need before April 25, 2016 and you'll receive up to 100% award miles.

Buy 5,000 - 9,000 miles | Get 20% bonus
Buy 10,000 - 19,000 miles | Get 40% bonus
Buy 20,000 - 75,000 miles | Get 100% bonus

argghh....have booked all my travel requirements through to next Feb already.....should I buy some to store for later? thoughts?

I probably would. There's no guarantee you will get another 100% one.

Answer is easy, YES! I had an F seat with 4 windows, only 3 people in FC, so no issues with bathroom. Service...need I say ore. It is all part of the adventure. Thai met us in BKK with a personal escort and drivesr to the FC lounge. After a neck and shoulder massage (part of the ticket), we were ready for the next leg of our journey.

I am pretty new to United Mileage Plus (one flight earlier this year) and did not receive an email and cannot see any offer when I log in. Is this normal?

If you are a M+ member and receive their email notices/advertisements, you may receive an offer. The offers vary by previous purchases, number of flights on United, using miles for flights. I am not really sure of the algorithm of who receives offers. My wife did not receive the offer and she flies with me. I use my M+ Visa card more than she does, so that may be the link.
If you are new to all of this, it will take a while to understand the process. Keep reading people's experiences in this web page.

Good travels,

Thanks, I am going to guess I am not worthy of the offer just yet. We have a few years of loyalty to AA but are shopping around. I assume your M+ visa is a US card?

Although I've only been a M+ member for a couple years I did have a United Club card for a year. Otherwise have just used the M+ program to credit points from *A carriers when I fly them (rather than Krisflyer as I found my points kept expiring with them)...so not sure why I got this offer

Same here, but when I click through to the 'buy miles' page I see 80% offered.

I am fairly new to Mileage Plus as well. Have a points balance from car hire and e-Rewards. No offer.

80% bonus for me and 100% for my partner. Will be buying through partner's account for end of the year Thailand trip.
