80% is the best offer I've had so far. last offer was just 50% which i declined

I'd wait. It's a long time until April and there's bound to be several offers in that time. Doubt you'll do worse than 80% and maybe the AUD will have gone up a bit by then.

Only bought on my partner's account last promo at 100%. Going to grab another 150k on this one in my account. I refuse to buy united miles unless 100% bonus or 50% discount good to wait a bit.

MEL-BKK one way business class for AUD762 (excluding airport taxes) - pretty sweet. (The Aussie $ price includes the UA 'recovery tax' for buying the miles and assumes an exchange rate of .74)

I used an exchange of 0.72 and still looks good.

Not that it's an issue but a little disappointing that the only availability one sees in SE Asia is TG.

Bought some yesterday morning and they were in my account in 10-15 minutes from memory

i had to log out and back in to see the new miles

Well thats interesting.

I got the purchase receipt but it says at the start of the email they will email once the purchase is complete.

Also tried the logout/login and no dice on that one. First time I've experienced such an issue.

Also SYD-BKK-HKG in F for ~$AU1,000 looks not bad.
