I cancelled my amex card about 18 months ago and successfully applied for the Ultimate card last night with the 100,000 points bonus.

I have a $2000 odd club subscription to pay and the payee doesn't accept amex but does accept Bpay. I've had a quick look at the t & c's and cant see if Bpay payments are excluded from eligible purchases for the bonus points.

Am I correct on this?

Do they take PayPal? Recently i started paying my utility bills with Paypal, as they utility companies don't take Amex but have started accepting PayPal. Linked Amex to Paypal account as sole payment method, and bingo amex points for Paypal payments.
 
Thanks for the suggestion but I cancelled my Paypal account a couple of months ago after I sold something in the US and the payment to me was through Paypal. The funds were in my Paypal account straight away but Paypal held my funds for 21 days so that was the end of that long term relationship.
