Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Boeing Co. pushed back the 787 Dreamliner’s entry into service for the seventh time, to the third quarter, more than three years behind the original delivery schedule for the composite-plastic jet.
The timetable announced today reflects the fallout from the Nov. 9 electrical fire on one of the test planes that knocked out some controls and forced an emergency landing. Boeing suspended all Dreamliner flights for six weeks while it investigated the incident and redesigned some parts.
