Boeing officially launched its long range 777 today:- http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4266695.stm
Does anyone think we'll see it on non-stop routes to London from Sydney or Melbourne? 777 is probably my favourite plane to fly in but I'm not sure I want to spend up to 20 hours non-stop in Economy class.
There must be some good savings for airlines to fly non-stop in terms of airport fees and taxes, turnaround times, fuel economy etc but will there be the passenger demand? I think I would choose it instead of the 1-3 hour layover in Spore or Bangkok
