Looks like a fun trip, and a good cause.

Unfortunately I will be in the Middle East, so won't make it. It would be good to see more of these in the future.

Same with us, we will be OS as well, but would like to see this happen again !

Flying off to AKL that morning. Would have loved to join otherwise, sounds like it will be great fun!

Damm on my birthday too.:( I wished I had known about this a month earlier otherwise I would have arranged my EK First (QF code) flights with my friend Kiwi Flyer for that weekend and we would have made it up there for an even better birthday indulgence.
Anyway good effort Qantas and the people and companies donating towards this event.

Currently deciding between flying down and back on that morning (earliest flight from BNE and latest flight back to BNE) or staying in SYD for a couple days and flying out from OOL the night before, and back the day after. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Dang - can't it come via PER and pick me up?

Just checked U, even X , availability PER-SYD-PER to make it but nothing at all showing on EF on 30-31 Oct. I don't think I can justify paying to get to/from SYD on top of the SYD-LRE-SYD :(, especially as I would have been back only a few days from my DONE5 with CC burns on my wallet - and then going to Lake Louise for Xmas for more severe burns.

Hopefully it will become an annual event. (Not the drought, I hasten to add - but maybe the RFDS or rural well-being promotion could be beneficiaries in less droughted times.)

I'll just be getting back from LHR that morning so I'm a pass :(, that said if any retro roo flyers want to say hi I'll be hanging around T3 for a couple of hours that morning.

You could always take the short cut <ducks>

Indeed yes this one sounds really interesting and have always wanted to visit the Qantas Founders Museum - and in comfort! I think my +1 and I need to attend :p

Looking forward to the other 95th Birthday celebrations!
