QF website now updated:

From 30 September 2026, essential works will be complete, and eligible customers will once again be able to access the lounge on Level 3 after security and customs.

Been further updated that the lounge is closing early at 7:30pm today, my guess is so they can return it to an airside lounge ready for tomorrow.

I fly out of BNE on Friday so very happy with the timing.

If this was in Asia, we'd probably have it up and running within a week.

Always confused me as to what they could possibly need for that long to do. Are they perhaps removing the old esclators, doing the measurements after, ordering and manfacturing new escalators?

I watched them install one at MEL T1 overnight then it was up and running within a week.....

How can we make bucket loads of money from that? 5-6 months; someone/company making tons of money imho!
