BMI/BA to QF

sorry if this topic is in the wrong thread!

anyway

I will be doing some flying in europe and it's great to have air berlin as an option.

but with BA buying BMI, I read that BA will get points when they fly BMI, but
has qantas got the ball rolling for us QF members to redeem with BMI?

BMI is not a member of oneworld, so there's no earn on QF yet.

You can credit to BA's Avios if you have an account (although if you're in Australia, getting one isn't as easy as visiting a website).

It remains to be seen if BMI will be folded into BA or remain as a separate entity (and be like JQ where it's 'part of the BA group' but not part of oneworld).
