Has anyone ever made a booking through bestflights.com.au?

Did everything work out ok? Would you recommend them? I went to a travel agent today and they suggested that to travel to Rome and Krakow would cost me in the vicinity of $2500 - seems like a rip-off compared to the below RTW trip.

I need to get to Rome, Italy and Krakow, Poland (from Adelaide). I am looking at departing towards the end of November or the beginning of December and being away for just over/under a month.

I noticed that there is a Round the World Special on the Bestflights site
http://www.bestflights.com.au/cgi-bin/203/flights?maindetails=2080.

I have never looked at a Round the World ticket before... Would this package suit me? It appears that I would have to select Zone 2 to go to Rome and Krakow and that it would cost me $1699 + Tax. Is this correct?

Is it possible for me to travel to other destinations in order to do a "points run" and get as many points as possible? Could anyone suggest a route?

Hopefully I am not asking too much… :p

Thanks for any help. :p

I have been a long time lurker on this board, but haven't found anything to share before.

I used bestflights to book a business class airfare on Qantas via the UK in May this year.

It went absolutely smoothly, and from my point of view I can recommend them.

They are based in Leederville which is a suburb of Perth, WA.

Very efficient and helpful staff.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Hi Rexer and welcome to AFF!

Glad to hear you had a + experience with bestflights. PaulZ I have purchased several flights through bestflights with different levels of success. The staff are friendly enough but it's often a hit or miss. Mistakes they have made with my bookings include entering the wrong FF number, not following seating preference requests, and splitting my airport connections (such as arriving in KIX & departing ITM).

I'd suggest they're ok for straightforward bookings but be wary of complex itineraries. And as always check everything :!: . Given the above points I prefer not to deal with them. However if you wish to proceed you can PM me and I can give you the name and mail of a BF's supervisor who is on the ball and knows his stuff  .

I have used bestflights to get a quote for flights. I wanted to go SYD-BKK-SYD in December and I got a price from bestflights both on the internet and ringing them.

Since then I have been able to secure a quote/booking less than $200 better than bestflights best price.

The place is called Viatour and they are situated in Haberfield in Sydney. Give them a call and let me know if he can't beat the price you have.

Bestflights is a division of Harvey World Travel, though i dont think they want too many people knowing that, I have found that most of the bestflights prices are available from the Harvey World website, or drop into the nearest Harvey World shop
