Has anyone experienced the bulkhead seats on the MH A330-300 (11AC, 11HK)? There appears to be extra legroom. Is it significant enough to fully stretch out your legs (like row 3 on VA's B737-800)? I haven't been behind the curtain on this plane yet.

Now that I have done my first trip in Y on MH's new A330-300, I can say that, apart from the exit rows, 11A/C/H/K and 12D/E/F/G are the best seats on these birds. The legroom is fantastic! I think 12D/E/F/G is a bit better than 11A/C/H/K as I could completely stretch out. The recline on these seats was also really good and I found them to be quite comfortable as well. Managed to get 5 hours of sleep on an 8 hour overnight flight.

They are. Any flight to Malaysia for <$800 is quite reasonable IMO. Anyway, seats in row 11 and 12 will now be my first choice when I'm in the economy cabin.

Any idea if that comes with QF SCs for that sort of coin?

The current AUD760 "promo" MEL-KUL r/t books into O class so no earn there.

The "Basic" $790 fare books into Q, so again no joy.

"L" class for the $1065 "Smart" fare so ¼ earn per mile as is the "H" class "Flex" fare on this route.

30 SC's each way for L & H.

I don't think so unfortunately. That fare is classed under their MHbasic fare. MHsmart and MHflex are the ones that score QFF SCs and points.

Hi MH fan - could you please elaborate re the extent of the leg room? My partner and I are rather tall and sometimes find bulkhead seats to be quite restrictive. Would you be able to stretch out if you were ~6 feet/182 cm tall? We have the opportunity to select 11HK on our SYD-KUL flight in Dec. Thanks!

The legroom is significant and is probably enough for you if you're both around 6'. I'm 5'7" and I can't touch the bulkhead when sitting on the upright position. Only when fully reclined and stretched out (with my bottom towards the edge of the seat) can I touch the bulkhead. I think you will find it very comfortable indeed! I'm not sure whether this is my imagination or not but I felt that 12DE had slightly more legroom than 11HK. Only slightly though. The fact that 11HK is a pair makes it a far more attractive proposition.
