Hi all,
I'm flying SYD-NRT later this year and I'm keen to hear which Y+ seats are best. I believe it's an old un-refurbished 747.
I prefer a window seat and ideally one with a good view (although I fear the whole Y+ cabin is over the wing so I probably won't be able to see much anyway).

Here's the map QF have given me:

Thanks in advance!

PS: I'm guessing this is the unrefurbished although I'll happily stand corrected.

The entire PE section is over the wing Except for Rows 29 and 30 on the un-refurb.

For the Re-furb planes the entire PE section is over the wings from memory.

This is indeed an unrefurbished three class.

The BEST seats in that configuration are 29J/K - heaps of leg room (best PE seats on any QF 744).

As a contrast, the worst seats are 29A/B due to a closet in front.

Look at the seat map linked here, if it is indeed to scale You may get a forward view from 31A as it's on the front edge of the wing.

Thanks for the tips.
And thanks for editing my image.
I've changed to 31A so I'll see how that goes. The front two rows are off limits for me as I suppose they're reserved for people with more status than me.

As so happened, I got 29K which provided for a great view of the engine although I wouldn't go for a bulk head seat again. While the leg roomed looked great, when you stretched out to sleep, you don't end up having as much room as a standard seat once you include the space under the seat in front of you. From now on, I'll be avoiding bulk head seats.
