Anyone else in this program ? I find myself a Diamond member after having stayed numerous nights in a country locale.

Any status match benefits around ??

Interesting to hear from others who may have found themselves in this envious position. I hear they have some swish hotels in the states and one new one in Bali.

I used it to match to IHG. Other than that I haven't seen any benefit so far, but I've only stayed in a couple of BW hotels.

I earnt Diamond after a few week long stays at a Brisbane serviced apartment.

The Australian site also refused matches.. despite the US BW being very generous, and also has a lot less trasfer options.
Redemptions didn't seem great value, and the website is extremely poor.

Be aware however that they wipe all points after 12mths of no activity, with no recourse... learnt hard way there.

BW are happy to do matches, I had one done a few months ago no issues via the Australian program.

A couple of months ago, I used the ihg platinum to status match. Got a response within a couple of days "congratulations you have reached diamond status". Haven't stayed in any BW properties

For me is BW benefits are inconsistent if at all in Australia. More clear and repeatable when travelling globally particularly USA.

Actually, they are quite ordinary in USA but always predictable and reliable. However in China they are very flash indeed.

It's all relative really. Recently changed jobs, from a U.S. based company to a European based one. When visiting head office now its a Best Western instead of a Hilton or Sheraton, which sounds like a big downgrade on accom. But the Best Western I stayed in (Europe) was definite better than either of the Sheraton or Hilton (US) that were home on head office visits with previous company.
