Best way to take advantage of Walkabout Pass

I was doing some research on this now that I'm in a position to book my flights to Australia originating from HKG or elsewhere in Asia.

Does anybody else have suggestions on maximising the value out of this? The prospect of doing EK Trans-Tasman on the A380 is looking pretty good right now.

I use it a fair bit ex Asia when needing to do a longer domestic leg, where the value is good.
