Best way to maxmise double SC offer and business flights Syd to Brussels

Hi All,

Ive got to go to Brussels for work flying business. Ive also got a double SC offer (lucky me)

Id appreciate your advice.

At the moment Im booked on

Syd > London via Dubai - QF1 (i class)
London > Brussels - BA392 (j class)

Brussels > London - BA399 (r class)
London > Syd via Dubai - QF2 (i class)

Is that a good option? Is there any better suggestions, or tips?

Change planes in Dubai if possible - perhaps QF9/10? This will earn more SCs.

I agree. I did that exact trip last year (but via SIN). Managed to get a fare on QF 9 out of Mel, to connect with QF1 in SIN. Similar on return. Netted me more SCs.

If you can't do that, spend a night each way in Dubai (QF2 will then count as two legs).

How did you manage to get double status credits ? Do we just wait or can one ask for it at a convenient time ....... I wish this under my x-mas tree

Thanks for the tips guys.

I managed to get a QF flight number for London => Brussels as well so that should help too. It is still BA metal but from what Ive read that should still be eligible for DSC.

Actually recently did the same but came back via BKK. QF code shares LHR-BRU on BA go both ways. I flew QF1 to DXB and then QF codeshares on EK DXB-LHR, LHR-DXB and DXB-BKK. All on A380s and in my opinion far superior to QF. Made a mistake and did BKK-SYD on QF in an A330. Never again. Should have opted for QF codeshare on an EK B777.

Single SCs as I did the them on BA flight numbers. Flight times suited me better and I didn't need the double SCs for these as I knew I had enough to requalify WP.

If you do them with QF flight numbers then you will get double SCs.
