I have an opportunity to get to platinum with qantas if I can get about 600 status credits by the end of July. Wife's 50th this year so thinking business class somewhere.

Seeking ideas or or suggestions for the best value/lowest cost method to get the greatest status credits? Thinking we'll pay for this one then next year once platinum do a European economy fare and use points to upgrade to BC. Being platinum will provide the best chance.

any ideas?

600 is a lot. East Coast London return in base J is only 560 SC, Asia 240 SC... Maybe Japan combined with a couple of days of ClassJ runs
