My status gets renewed at the end of May and at this stage will fall short by 60 SC's of achieving Platinum.
In the past (quite a while ago) was able to do JASA SC run, however that option does not seem to be available when I look on the website.

Can any one suggest the best option to pick up the 60 SC's needed. Have around 100K in points but would consider paying if not too unreasonable.

Regards
FBS

There's some pretty good prices to cairns at the moment for flexi fares... That'll give you 60 SC's and take about 6 hours of your day.. Unless of course you want to have a look around.

((BNE -d- SYD and then SYD -i- AKL with EK (J as $$$ as it is) )) metal but QF flight number, ((AKL direct back to BNE in whY))?
QF SG would get int J lounge entry at AKLi.

And Cairns from now to Nov brilliant weather, just back from lunch at Mondo's on waterfront, temp about 28C fine sunny light breeze.

Is this your standard suggestion for all mileage run questions? The OP only needs 60 SCs. How is shelling out all that money, or points, for SYD-AKL in J a cost-effective way to get 60 SCs? And you do realise that your beloved EK A380 also flies BNE-AKL (yes, and even with a QF flight number)? Why on earth would you spend even more money on a flight from BNE-SYD??? I just cannot understand your brand of "advice".

No joke. I've got at least 2 trips to FNQ each month for the rest of the year. Can't complain about that.

That said even November through May this past year was great.

I thought it was a bit OTT. The Cairns option seems the easiest as I can knock over in a few hours. Last time I did a status run was to Karratha. That was tough

It's not about where you want to go but rather where you have to go ...
Price wise it was similar for the run in either direction. On the day I booked the cheapest run was to Queenstown return same day. Sadly I couldn't book it online as only 55 minute turn around. It would have to be the same aircraft and with olci I thought it would be possible but obviously not.
